A example of positive communication is, when your child asks "Can I watch TV now?" If your initial response to allowing your child to watch TV is "No, you can't watch TV right now, try saying, "You can watch right after dinner". By showing your feelings towards your child - Often times when you start to show compassion towards your child and reflecting back what or how they are feeling is helpful for gaining cooperation from your child.
